what in your own opinion and experience is  the best traffic source Available for any website?

I asked a group of marketers the above question  and 

and their choice and answers were varied ,very interesting and full of insight. All of these marketers were using both paid and free sources for traffic.
None of them was using a single traffic source.
I also wanted to help newbies know for sure which traffic sources were worth making use of and focusing on without doing trial and error wasting time and money

They all give me response based on their many years experience of being in the traffic trenches.

some agreed  on a particular type of traffic giving reasons that supported it and some disagreed on other traffic sources calling them unreliable for any serious business

SEO- 5votes (included article directory posting,guest posting,bookmarking,link-building) termed very effective traffic source but not consistent and reliable in results due to algorithm changes...

with the above result you'll have to bear in mind that

1.This is not an exhaustive traffic source list

2.This is a survey carried out with just a handful of top notch marketers.A more extensive survey may yield a different result.

However, when you consider the fact that these traffic methods listed in the 'winner list'  are what these various marketers use day-in day-out in their online money making business and also that they have  success using them, coupled with the fact that they're all well established highly successful marketers, you may consider the results displayed above as useful...if not for the above reasons at least for the sole reason that they've all been real life proven traffic sources.
